In release folder we have 'setup.exe' and '.msi' files along with someother files. Running the 'setup.exe' to install the project it was working fine.but if we use '.msi' file for installing the project, it was giving an message like. ' This installation cannot be run by directly launching the MSI package. 2014 forest hills drive listen. AAMEE created msi only supports silent mode of installation. To install the msi, use the following command line - msiexec.exe /i [path of msi] /qn make sure that you launch the command line with administrative previleges to install the msi. This will silently install Adobe products on the client machine.

Hi guys, I am trying to use the patch design feature on the InstallShield Developer 8. Whenever i run the patch i get this message: '1: this installation cannot be run by directly launching the MSI package. You must run setup.exe' any ideas? When i compile the patch i get a warning: 'ISDEV: warning -6497: Patch Creation Warning: ProductVersions between Target and Upgraded images do not match; do you want to proceed anyway?'
